Do sklepów i serwisów cyfrowych trafiła kompilacja „Marianne Faithfull - Songs of Innocence and Experience 1965-1995”. To pierwsza składanka Marianny Faithfull (29.12.1946 Hampstead, Londyn), od czasu „An Introduction to...” z 2001 roku i pierwsza zawierająca rzadki oraz niepublikowany materiał od wydawnictwa „A Perfect Stranger: The Island Anthology” z 1998 roku.
Nowy zestaw zawiera cztery wcześniej niepublikowane nagrania. Wśród pozostałych utworów, aż 22 z 29 ukazuje się po raz pierwszy na winylu lub po raz pierwszy od czasu pierwotnego wydania. Z kolei w wersji 2CD 9 nagrań debiutuje na kompakcie / w formacie cyfrowym
„Songs of Innocence and Experience 1965-1995” to podsumowanie pierwszych 30 lat kariery Marianne i nagrań dla wytwórni Decca oraz Island. Na wydawnictwo trafiły wersje wszystkich jej znaczących singli, w tym niedostępne od 1969 roku, oryginalne wydanie ostatniego zrealizowanego dla Decca Records 7-calowego „Something Better”/ „Sister Morphine” z alternatywnymi edycjami.

Jest to zarówno przewodnik dla niewtajemniczonych, jak i zbiór rarytasów dla tych, którzy są jej wyznawcami. Tytuł „Songs of Innocence and Experience” odzwierciedla zmianę stylu wokalnego Marianne między orkiestrowym folk-popem lat 60. z jej wysokim, czystym śpiewem, a zainspirowanym nową falą i punkiem, charakterystycznym dla niej łamiącym się głosem znanym z końca lat 70., w tym z wysoko ocenianej przez krytyków płyty „Broken English”.
Na okładce znalazł się rysunek ołówkiem, który na potrzeby tego projektu przygotowała litewska artystka, Aiste Stancikaite. Książeczka zawiera natomiast wiele rzadkich i nieznanych zdjęć.

Marianne Faithfull to jedna z najbardziej charyzmatycznych, nietuzinkowych artystek na świecie. Na scenie obecna od lat 60., największy komercyjny sukces odniosła dzięki albumom „Broken English” (1979) i „Dangerous Acquaintances”. W dorobku ma nie tylko niezapomniane nagranie, ale i wspaniałe role filmowe („Irina Palm”, „Dziewczyna na motocyklu”, „Maria Antonina”, „Diuna”). Do inspiracji jej muzyczną twórczością przyznawali się Bob Dylan czy Tom Waits. Faithfull współpracowała z takimi artystami jak Nick Cave, Metallica, PJ Harvey, Damon Albarn czy Oxbow.
